AMA Great Parents, Great Start

Do you want to learn more about child development, promote intellectual, physical and social growth, and how to positively interact with your child? If so, you are in the right place!

Mission and Vision

The mission of the AMA Great Parents, Great Start program is to provide opportunities for parents of children ages 0-5 to obtain the knowledge, tools and skills to provide their children with the support needed to ensure they have a great start in school and in life.

The vision of the AMA Great Parents, Great Start program is an increased understanding by parents of the needs of their children in the areas of social, emotional and physical health and early learning, through parenting education and parent/child together activities.

How will we achieve our goals?

Great Parents, Great Start services families of 0-5 year olds through parent education. The program collaborates with many other groups, including Besser Museum, Sprinkler Lake Education Center, Head Start, Kindermusik, and the public libraries to promote literacy through book give-aways and reading events, encourage socialization through parent/child activities and give parents tools and skills through workshops and classes.
